If you have got it to work on another device, simply look at what version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable that device has, google it and install it. For my case, I was lacking the 2015-2019 version. If I'm correct, SSD5.5 only needs 圆4 version. If this is the first time you install SSD5.5, I guess just download every version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable known to mankind. dll files need this to work properly and there's so many version of them, x86, 圆4, different year etc Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable version (find this in your windows app list inside Windows setting). If you can see that, the problem is probably because of the following: In the case of Reaper, if it has indeed scanned 'SSDSampler5.dll' but not showing up as a VST, you would be able to see it under "plug-ins that failed to scan' (Reaper version up to should have this feature under the VST option). FYI, even if you ask SSD technical support regarding this, 'clear cache and rescan' is the reply you will get. Try the clear cache and rescan SOP first. dll is not showing up in your DAW (Reaper in my case), To future internet stranger who might bump into this thread when googling why SSD 5.5. We'd love to hear what you have produced with Reaper, but please post it in the weekly sticky.
